We’re looking for an organised and proactive Project Manager to lead the final year of the FORGEDprogramme. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of key outcomes, including the launch of the FORGED Directory, Public Art Action Plan and public events, while supporting artists, liaising with stakeholders, and managing logistics, timelines and budgets.
You’ll bring experience in arts project management, ideally with a background in public art and artist development. You’ll have confidence working with local authorities, festivals, fabricators, and suppliers, and be comfortable managing multiple moving parts. We value freelance experience and a deep understanding of both the regional and national public art landscape.
This role is perfect for someone who’s reliable, collaborative, and creative; someone who can think strategically, solve problems, and stay grounded in artist-centred values. A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is essential.
We are due to reopen our 13,000sq foot creative complex in the heart of Middlesbrough in September 2025, following a capital development supported by funds from DCMS's Cultural Development Fund and TVCA's Middlesbrough Development Corporation. The warehouse is a significant part of the arts infrastructure we’re committed to growing and will be home to 25 studios, a gallery, event space, garden and a growing community programme; and we are now looking to expand our team.
